Our GR86 Unveiled at SEMA 2024!

Last week we showcased our GR86 at SEMA for the first time!  The car featured a version of our widebody kit along with a few prototype products that we are working to offer in the near future. It was a grind to get the car done and there on time.  We decided to go with a unique livery for the car designed by RA Graphics. Inozetek provided us with their signal yellow wrap color to make the car stand out.  Wrap Legends finished installing the wrap on Saturday at 3am which gave us enough time to get the car from Las Angeles to Las Vegas for load in at 11am that same morning. 

The car not only featured our widebody kit, but also a K24 swap, making it the 3rd GR86 in the world to successfully do it!  How did we achieve this?  With the help of our partners!  Wiring Specialties made it easy by providing us with a Standalone K24 harness that connected directly with our Haltech Nexus S2 standalone ECU. Haltech buttoned up the engine with their IC7 Dash and a 3x5 button board. We were also able to retain the accessory features of the car such as the power windows, locks, headlights, etc. by keeping the OEM ECU.  

Of course no widebody car would be complete without proper fitment and we did just that! With the help of Motegi, Toyo Tires, and Airlift Performance we were able to take our vision for the car’s fitment and bring it to reality with a beefy tire setup that can still tuck when aired out.  

The last piece of the puzzle was the interior.  We didn’t have much time left after spending so much on the other areas of the car, but the Zeztek hub, Renown steering wheel, and Status Racing seats made for an eye-catching interior that really fit the car well!  

Overall, this past week has been a dream for our team.  It is hard to believe that 60 days before SEMA started, this car was stock and thanks to a lot of sleepless nights, Brad was able to complete the car with the help from the rest of our team. We got so much positive feedback on the car and the work we have put into designing our products. We are already planning for a V2 of the GR86 and can’t wait to see where this takes us next.
